Please take some time to find KUSF.org online and listen to 10-15 minutes.
What did you hear?

College radio is typically defined as “free format”  “independent” and “non-commercial.”
At KUSF we never tell you what to play on your shows or what to talk about but we want our
DJs to create a show that you can be proud of and a show that represents the station.
We do require certain Promos and Station ID’s to be played and expect you to try your best at
on-air ticket giveaways and other “Station Business.”

Please read and check each line after you read these sentences:

KUSF does not tolerate any hate speech of any kind. ______
KUSF DJS will not use any profanity on air. _____
KUSF DJs will not play music that is obscene, racist,
or offensive to another person. _____
KUSF DJs will respect the on-air studio space and equipment. _____

Here are some other college radio stations to check out and listen to. Listen to mic breaks, pre-
recorded announcements, DJ story telling, song announcements, and ticket giveaways.

KALX 90.3 FM (UC Berkeley)
KXLU  88.9 (LA)
KCSB (Santa Barbara)

And we will go over more during training!!!
